  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 celery rib chopped
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 peppercorns
  • 1 lemon sliced


  • Combine tomato juice, sliced onion, chopped celery rib, bay leaves, and peppercorns in a saucepan. Cover and let stand for 1 hour.

    After sitting; heat mixture over medium heat. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve with sliced lemon.
