This marinade is simply yet packed with flavor and perfect for veggies or tofu as well as meat.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped roughly
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1/2 cup balsamic or red wine vinegar
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
- 4-5 large garlic cloves crushed
Instructions
- mix everything above together. Let beef marinade in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours and chicken for at least 2 hours. Then grill over charcoal for best results but it is also good in the broiler.



Does this recipe not call for oil as well? I was looking for this recipe (searching by ingredients) because it’s an amazing fajita marinade. But as I made it, I thought I remembered adding oil, as you would an oil and vinegar dressing ratio, to it. Just wondering.
I do not add oil to my marinades because it only adds extra calories and does not enhance the marinade’s flavor.
