Bourbon Barbecue Sauce
This sauce can be made 1 week ahead if kept in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.
Ingredients
- 2 cups ketchip
- 1/2 cup mild-flavored light molasses
- 1/3 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 3 tbsp hot pepper sauce
- 2 tbsp Worchestershire sauce
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a heavy large saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer uncovered until sauce thickens and flavors blend, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes.
