Pecan Pie
This recipe for pecan pie is very basic but absolutely decedent. It was once the most searched pecan pie recipe on the internet, with good reason, it is a guaranteed family favorite. I suggest serving it with a bit of whipped cream to cut the richness.

Pecan Pie

Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 unbaked 9" pie shell
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cup pecans
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375° F,
- Beat eggs, vanilla, sugar & salt. Try not to introduce air into the mix by over beating. This will cause the top pecan crust to lift during baking.
- Add butter, syrup & mix in pecans.
- Pour into crust
- Bake 40-45 minutes in pie shell.
