Pecan Pie

This recipe for pecan pie is very basic but absolutely decedent. It was once the most searched pecan pie recipe on the internet, with good reason, it is a guaranteed family favorite. I suggest serving it with a bit of whipped cream to cut the richness.

Pecan Pie

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 unbaked 9" pie shell
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup pecans
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter


  • Preheat oven to 375° F,
  • Beat eggs, vanilla, sugar & salt. Try not to introduce air into the mix by over beating. This will cause the top pecan crust to lift during baking.
  • Add butter, syrup & mix in pecans.
  • Pour into crust
  • Bake 40-45 minutes in pie shell.
