This recipe for pecan pie is very basic but absolutely decedent. I suggest serving it with a bit of whipped cream to cut the richness.
unbaked 9″ pie shell
light corn syrup
Tbsp melted butter
Preheat oven to 375° F,
Beat eggs, vanilla, sugar and salt. Add butter & syrup & mix in pecans.
Pour into crust. Be careful not to leave around 1/2 inch of space between the edge of the crust and the filling because the filling will expand while cooking.
Bake 40-45 minutes in pie shell.
