Mint Juleps
2 oz 100 Proof Bourbon
1.5 oz Chilled Mint Simple Syrup
4 or 5 Fresh Mint Sprigs (don't stir or shake)
3 cups sugar
1 cup water
2 handsful fresh mint sprigs
Syrup:
Combine sugar with water in a 2-quart saucepan. Add enough mint to fill pan loosely. Boil 5 or 6 minutes, or until liquid turns green. Strain syrup and pour into bottle for future use. Chill
Serve in a Mint Julep Glass with Crushed Ice, Garnish with Oranage and Cherry and One Sprig of Mint.
