Pecan Pie

This recipe for pecan pie is very basic but absolutely decedent. I suggest serving it with a bit of whipped cream to cut the richness.

  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 unbaked 9" pie shell
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup pecans
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter


  • Preheat oven to 375° F,
  • Beat eggs, vanilla, sugar and salt. Add butter & syrup & mix in pecans.
  • Pour into crust. Be careful not to leave around 1/2 inch of space between the edge of the crust and the filling because the filling will expand while cooking.
  • Bake 40-45 minutes in pie shell.
