Use this low fat alternative as a substitute for sour cream and heavy cream in your sauces and salad dressings. You might want to make a double batch, as it will keep in the refrigerator (and actually become thicker and smoother) for several days.
- 4 oz (100 g) nonfat cottage cheese
- 4 Tbs plain nonfat yogurt
- 2 Tbs nonfat milk
- 1 tsp cornstarch (cornflour)
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until completely smooth.
