Creme Blanc

Use this low fat alternative as a substitute for sour cream and heavy cream in your sauces and salad dressings. You might want to make a double batch, as it will keep in the refrigerator (and actually become thicker and smoother) for several days.

Yields: 1 cup

Ingredients:
  • 4 oz (100 g) nonfat cottage cheese
  • 4 Tbs plain nonfat yogurt
  • 2 Tbs nonfat milk
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (cornflour)
Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until completely smooth.
