Cuisinart Classic Automatic Electric Kettle
Cuisinart
Retail Price: $96

The Cuisinart Classic Automatic Electric Kettle is another time-saving marvel. Most of us have an old fashioned kettle on the stove collecting grease on the outside and scale on the inside. Seems like I always spent more time trying to keep the darned thing clean than I ever did boiling water in it.

This better kettle is cordless kettle and sits on an electric base that can be used anywhere you have an outlet and a flat place to set the base.

The kettle has a 360-degree base, which means there is no wrong way to place it on the base. This kettle is able to bring 1-¾ quarts of water to a boil in 7 minutes. Best of all, after it boils you can just lift if off the base and use it anywhere you wish.

The kettle has an attractive stainless steel finish that is in all the chic kitchens this year. When not in use the cord hides neatly away in the base and allows for convenient storage.

My one drawback for this product is that the handle does not move and blocks the hole as you try to fill the kettle. This obviously makes it more difficult to fill the kettle. Though this kettle is attractive and a neat idea, the design is flawed enough to make it troublesome to use.

In the end, however, it is still easier than traditional tea pots for that quick spot of tea.
