eligibility for prizes are subject to the following Official Rules by which all entrants are bound upon submission of an entry.

- ABOUT SWEEPSTAKES:
Culinary Cafe and LaunchPlanet,Inc. are providing this sweepstakes to the general public with a random
drawing for valuable prize(s).
- ELIGIBILITY:
This sweepstake is open to all legal residents of the United States or Canada, except where prohibited by law, who are at
least 18 years of age at the time of entry. This sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law. Employees of
LaunchPlanet or its affiliates directly involved in the planning or implementation of the sweepstakes, or immediate
family members and/or those living in the same household are not eligible.
Eligible participants with Internet access must have been registered for Internet access prior to the starting date of
this sweepstake. Eligible participants without Internet access may submit an entry by mail, as described below.
- HOW TO ENTER:
- General Entry Information.
- This sweepstake begins on Monday, July 31, 2000 and ends on Thursday, August 31, 2000 .
- One entry per person, unless otherwise indicated.
- No purchase required.
- All information provided by the participant on the entry forms, becomes the property of LaunchPlanet,
and no entry will returned to entrant.
- Entry via Internet: Access the Culinary Cafe site and follow the instructions on the
screens. Participants will enter their name, address, city, state, zip code, phone number, and email address,
and provide other [optional] information. After the participant completes and submits the sweepstake's entry form,
a "thanks for registering" form will appear on the screen. Culinary Cafe, LaunchPlanet and its agents
are not responsible for misdirected, illegible, incomplete, stolen or garbled, fragmented, or delayed
Internet/email computer transmissions or network/ISP/Web site/or Internet accessibility.
- Entry via Mail: On plain paper, hand print your name, address, city, state, zip code, phone number and
email address (optional) and mail to: Sweepstakes, 134 Fifth Avenue, 3rd floor, New York, NY 10011. No
entry submitted by mail will be acknowledged or returned to the entrant. Culinary Cafe, LaunchPlanet and its agents are not
responsible for misdirected, illegible, incomplete, stolen, or undeliverable mail entries.
- HOW THE WINNER IS CHOSEN:
On or about Thursday, August 31, 2000 one winner for this sweepstake will be selected in a random drawing
from a pool of eligible participants from all participating web sites. The odds of winning this sweepstakes depend upon
the number of entries received.
- PRIZE:
You can win a one-carat brilliant-cut diamond solitaire necklace to keep for yourself or give to the one you love. Desired for its timeless beauty, fiery sparkle and ageless elegance, the diamond’s allure lives forever as the ultimate symbol of love.. Prize value $4,999. The winners will be requested to contact
Customer Service at 1-800-573-2790, in order to redeem their prize. No prize is transferable [except to a surviving
spouse,] and cash will not be awarded in lieu of stated prizes. If prize substitution becomes necessary due to
availability, LaunchPlanet will award a prize of equal or greater value. LaunchPlanet will not replace any lost or
stolen prize. All monetary values are stated in U.S. dollars.
- NOTIFICATION AND REDEMPTION:
The winner of this sweepstake will be notified via e-mail or by regular first-class mail. The winner must redeem the
prize within 72 hours. The notification message will contain a time stamp indicating the last day on which the winner
may redeem the prize. For certain prizes, winners will be required to verify his or her identity, including their social
security number for tax purposes. Within 14 days of notification, the winner must execute, notarize, and return an
Affidavit of Eligibility and Prize Acceptance certifying that they have followed the Official Rules of this sweepstakes.
The winner's failure to comply with these requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize. If the first winner does
not claim their prize, a second drawing will be held in the same manner as the first.
- TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

- The Official Rules are subject to all applicable federal, state, local and [foreign] laws and regulations
including any requirements/limitations imposed by the Federal Communications Commission or any other
governmental agency. This sweepstake is void where prohibited by law.
- Each participant in this sweepstakes warrants that he or she has read these Official Rules, and agrees to be
bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of LaunchPlanet and its representatives.
- All federal, state and local income taxes and all surcharges and fees on the prize are the sole responsibility
of the winner.
- Participant agrees that all information entered is owned by LaunchPlanet and can be used for any purpose,
including publication in other mediums.
- Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for LaunchPlanet and its
agents to use winners name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes in any media without
compensation, unless prohibited by law.
- Any lawsuit filed as a result of this sweepstake will be resolved under the laws of the State of New York, USA,
and participants agree hat he/she is subject to personal jurisdiction in any federal or state court in the
State of New York, USA.
- The winner, winner's agent, successors, heirs and assigns, release LaunchPlanet and its owner, successors,
subsidiaries and assigns from any and all liability associated with this
sweepstakes.
- Conduct:
LaunchPlanet reserves the right, in its sole
discretion, to disqualify any individual for: (a) tampering with the entry
process, the operation of the sweepstakes or the LaunchPlanet.com web site or
the web sites of any of LaunchPlanet's distribution partners; (b) acting in violation
of the official rules; (c) acting with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or
harass any other person. Any fraudulent attempts to claim prizes or to
circumvent the rules or operation of this sweepstakes is a violation of
criminal and civil laws, and LaunchPlanet reserves the right to report such
conduct to the appropriate authorities for criminal prosecution and to seek
redress to the fullest extent permitted by law.
- Indemnification: BY ENTERING, PARTICIPANTS, THEIR SUCCESSORS
AND REPRESENTATIVES, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS LAUNCHPLANET, INC., AND
ITS AFFILIATES, PRINCIPALS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS FROM ANY
AND ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES (INCLUDING DIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL,
EXEMPLARY OR INDIRECT DAMAGES), LOSS OR INJURY OF ANY KIND, OR CLAIMS BASED ON
PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, OR INVASION OF PRIVACY, ARISING FROM OR IN
CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES OR ANY PRIZE WON, WHETHER ARISING OUT OF
CONTRACT, WARRANTY, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY IN TORT OR OTHERWISE .
- Limitations of Liability: LaunchPlanet is not responsible for: (i) any incorrect or inaccurate
information, whether caused by Web site users or by any of the equipment or
programming associated with or utilized in this sweepstakes, (ii) any technical
or human error, which may occur in the course of administration of this
sweepstakes, or awarding of prizes, (iii) any error, omission, interruption,
deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line
failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of
entries, (iv) any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network
lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment,
software, failure of email, or players on accounts of technical problems with
traffic congestion on the Internet, including injury or damage to participants,
or to any other person’s computer, related to or resulting from
participating or receiving materials in this sweepstakes.
LaunchPlanet reserves the right, in its sole
discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the sweepstakes, if, for
any reason, the sweepstakes cannot operate as planned, due to causes beyond the
control of LaunchPlanet which corrupt or affect the administration, security,
fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the sweepstakes, including but not
limited to computer viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud,
or technical failures.
