Comfort Food

People always talk about comfort food in the fall and early winter but I am here to tell you that comfort food is most needed in late winter when you just can't stand to look at one more snow flake. I always start longing for green grass and early spring flowers about the middle of February. Nothing helps to quell the feeling that it will be winter forever more than a good bowl of soup with a big slice of homemade bread. This is the time of the year to pull out the breadmaker and your big stock pot and create a little comfort in your own kitchen. I have picked some of the most comforting soups and breads to help you put a little sunshine in your day!
